IntraPoint Advises the White House on National Resiliency

Edward Erickson, VP of Solutions and Business Development at IntraPoint, was asked to join other Supply Chain Risk Management leaders to advise Richard Reed, Special Assistant to the President for National Security Affairs and Senior Director for Resilience Policy, and several other cabinet level officials, including the Department of Energy, on public-private partnerships.

This roundtable discussion was organized by Debra Van Opstal, Director of the U.S. Resilience Project, and was held in Washington D.C. at the Eisenhower Executive Office Building on October 31, 2011.

Some of the other attendees at the roundtable discussion included:
  • Donald D. Wirth, VP of Global Operations Corporate Supply Chains at DuPont
  • Craig Giffi, Vice Chairman at Deloitte LLP
  • Robert Moore, Vice President of Global Security Services at Hewlett-Packard

  • Stephen M. Carmel, Senior Vice President of Maritime Services at Maersk
  • Kenneth H. Senser - Senior Vice President of Global Security, Aviation and Travel at Wal-MartThe roundtable discussion lead to a follow-up meeting with the Department of Energy as a result of  Erickson’s comments at the roundtable that “many of the Supply Chain Risk Management best practices and lessons learned are directly attributable to other areas such as Smart Grid resiliency.”
